Note: I was listening to this YouTuber today after meditation and she said this and I thought it was worth sharing. This is not my writing.

“Anyways, let me read you what I was writing about love because, again, this doesn’t have to do with just connections, but this is about your heart space. Your heart is preparing to hold more.

I wrote, this is just my own journal entry, so y’all are going to hear it all.

She wrote:

Learning a major lesson around the heart space and discernment. I’m learning a great deal here.

Perhaps it was simply love that I was enamoured by all along.

Love is vast. She can be all-consuming. She can swoop in out of nowhere when we least expect it, to catch us off guard. Love has the power to hurt and the power to heal.

And I feel like I’m starting to grasp the energy of love.

Love wants to express herself through many different doorways or containers. I think sometimes we think the container is the love, or the specific expression is the love. And the truth is that was just the outfit love chose to wear that day.

Love is vast, yes, but she also can’t be contained. She is the epitome of freedom. Her closet is never-ending. She dances with the wind and meets us in many shapes and forms.

I think we’re taught that love should look a specific way, but love doesn’t follow rules. She creates her own. And once she thinks you’ve figured her out, she dances right out of the bind that you have placed her in.

I’m starting to believe that love and freedom are one and the same. I’m not sure you can experience one without the other.

I’m starting to believe that love wants us to simply be fully alive with her, or immersed in her, in the present moment. And maybe she prefers when we dance with her in the moments she greets us, and then let her go freely.

Love demands to be free and unbound.

So now the challenge becomes: how does one remain fully and completely present with love while simultaneously letting it go and loosening our grip on it?

I think it comes down to how abundant and accessible we feel that love is for us. If we think of her as scarce, or finite, or rare, we tend to cling.

I think love wants us to remember that she is infinite. And in remembering, there comes a willingness to not hold her captive, but instead to make love to love, and then let the wind carry her where she chooses, as we openly await her next arrival, in whatever expression or outfit she chooses next.”
